GIRLS-PRIDE KENYA is an organization operating in Mombasa county with a vision that of ensuring that a girl child remains in the class room for the entire period of learning.
Some friends were touched by stories of some girls missing lessons because they could not afford some supplies meant for women like sanitary towels and decided to come together to support these girls remain in class and continue learning by providing them with sanitary towels and register the organization to help them continue with the good work legally.
This is how the organization was formed and consequently registered on 18th July 2013 under the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Services.
GIRLS PRIDE is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that works in the child protection sector. Childline Kenya's work represents the resonating message that child abuse and violence against children have no place in our society.
The group's core mandate is Reproductive health and sanitation, advocating for gender equality and equity as well as fighting against gender based violence.
Our Main Objectives are:
1. Creating gender quality and equity opportunities through education and social.
2. Fighting violence and stigma against the girl child
